Dispose of the battery in a recycled bin, not into the garbage.

Note: Before you remove the battery, note which side faces up (+ or -). You should install your replacement in the same way.

Remove the battery.

Your key may contain either a CR1616, CR1620, CR2032 battery. In some cases, either type will work, but for best results, replace it with the same kind of battery that originally came with your key.

Install your matching new battery in the same orientation as the original.

How to Change Remote Key Fob Battery

1. Remove Emergency Key
2. Twist in the Cover slot to access battery
3.  2032 Battery
4.  “+” side up
5. Press two halves of the remote cover back together
6. Insert Emergency Key into cover
7. Press the unlock or lock buttons to make sure the remote is working.
